The second-hand marketplace Members Express Displeasure Regarding Size Changes
Shoppers are voicing their frustration after an update resulted in products showing incorrect sizing.
The second-hand shopping app has updated its size classifications for women's and children's clothes without notifying every member regarding the update.
Online Platforms Response
Numerous buyers and vendors have taken to social media stating that platform listings now display an altered size classification versus the original listing as a result of the reclassification.
The platform stated the new system was more in line with comparable marketplaces.
They have suggested members to review their products and manually change the size if necessary, which has left users frustrated.
Sizing System Changes
Previously, the sizing featured numerical and alphabetical indicators, like S/8 or M/10.
The updated approach includes a letter with a size spectrum such as S/UK 8-10.
For certain items, the sizing has been recategorised - like an L measurement was formerly size 12 but is now a UK 16-18.

One content creator, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, said the change "makes both selling and buying harder".
"Few clothing companies classify XL as 20-22," the way the service now categorizes.
Another user, located in Scotland, said garments she listed featuring size 14 markings were appearing on the platform as measurements 20-22.
"If buyers measuring 20-22 acquire them they're going to be very disappointed," she said.
Manual Updates
Charlotte Lunn, from Derby, said she had been left angered due to the update requiring manual adjustment the measurements for "each individual item".
"This situation is especially annoying, as I'm chronically ill and platform income has been essential after experiencing income reduction," she said.
Marketplace Information
The service features exceeding 100 million members, with 18 million British users.
It has emerged as a preferred choice versus similar marketplaces including eBay and Depop.
This represents another occasion when a surprising modification on the platform has faced criticism: last year, Vinted reversed a change regarding delivery choices after backlash from users.
