A 60-day journey through Australia has been cancelled days after the fatal incident of an senior female passenger who was stranded by the ship on a remote island.

Suzanne Rees had been trekking on Lizard Island with other travelers from the Coral Adventurer, but separated from the group for a break. The vessel sailed away leaving her and returned later that day after the ship staff became aware the woman was unaccounted for.

An extensive rescue mission discovered her body the subsequent day.
